Nucleus Expression in SICS is quite different from the technique used in ECCE.

In SICS, the tunnel is self-sealing and tight, so it requires far greater expertise and finesse.

I myself use the irrigating vectis method as that was what I was trained at Aravind Eye Hospital.

You can try out all other techniques and choose which ever works best for you.

Some of the common complications that can happen in this step is iridodialysis and PC rent.

Both can be avoided by filling the chamber fully with visco, especially below the prolapsed nucleus.

This will push the iris and posterior capsule away and below away from the incoming vectis.
